The Ferry boat "Ratiner"

The Association of Development of the spa Rathen GmbH can call themselves the proud owner of the ferry boat “Ratiner” since 15 September 2001. This boat was built on the wharf in Dresden Laubegast and serves as a passenger boat and charter carrier for a smaller amount of people. It is registered for 120 persons for the crossing of the river. For panoramic trips along the river it provides space for 75 people. An experienced captain and a boatman steer this boat.

It has a sound-reduced diesel motor and achieves a speed of 8 km per hour upstream. All of the boat is covered by a roof. The boat consists of the rudder house, the open-air section for passengers with 8 seats, a separated section with heating and tables with 36 seats, and exactly there the afterdeck connects with 14 seats. On board there are kitchen facilities with an oven, a coffee maker, a fridge, and a sink which allows catering. It goes without saying that there is a restroom too. But catering is generally not taken over by us, but we feel free to recommend local restaurants which can make offers according to your wishes.
